Orewa AA

Spend about 3 hrs driving around Orewa last friday.

The one thing that stood out was the number of hybrids there. Almost every street had one on it.

Nice looking town it looks big and clean, Mcd's wasnt that good. I'm sure that there are making there burgers smaller and charging more.

If i was going to buy land/house it would be there, but the new areas have the same houses for the whole block. :(

Class 3 & 5 Truck & Trailer Theory Test

I just did my Class 3 & 5,
Passed 100%.

Tests are always hard, no matter what others same, he first few minutes are the hardest after that its all plan sailing down hill.

The information that is in my head is and will be totally useless until i need to use it.

The questins that i fund hard t remember were:

• Maxium permitted frward distance of a semi trailer - 8.5metres
• Combined rated strenght of lashing plased over rigid load - 1x weight of the load
• Forward distance of a trailing portion is from - the rear axis of the trailer
• Loose bulk loads must be below - 100mm
• Load may extend out form any side of the vehicle body - 200mm
• RUL -displayed on the front left of trailer and/or on truck same as truck RUL (passanger side - left)
• WOF/COF of trailer - Near rear plate of trailer
• Maximum width permitted for HT - 1.25metres longitud..
• Over dimensional flag required - if over 1metre behind truck/trailer
• Addational width of fasteners - 25mm

• Gross Wieght is - Vehicle weight and the load being cairred at the time.
